The overall aim is to empower women in East Pokot Sub-county, Baringo county to be at par with other communities in Kenya who have dropped harmful cultural practices.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

Dr. Cana Rescue Center was founded by Canon Rev. Christopher and Mrs. Nelly Chochoi . They started the home to be a safe refuge for girls after encountering first hand the suffering of girls in their community due to female genital mutilation, forced early marriages, child labour, defilement and abuse.  They built the home and run it through their meagre savings and some donations from well wishers.
